Profit maximization is a key priority of construction industry stakeholders but may challenge the to look into other aspects. Environmental aspect one sustainability elements that tends be neglected in supply chain management. Its impact on project site and living surrounding environment either taken lightly or ignored by stakeholders. This paper aims investigate barriers uptake Green Supply Chain Management (GSCM) during pre-construction stage assist with planning relation environmental protection at earliest project. Pre-construction within life cycle for decision making selection materials, labours, plants equipment. Questionnaire survey was distributed stakeholders, 44 valid responses returned. The analysis drawn from feedback architects, contractors, consultants, engineers. results revealed critical GSCM were lack company’s leadership support, awareness, sustainable practices. research provides an overview current practices Malaysia alerts focus specific organizational strategies adopting GSCM.
